Surveillance of Primary Pulmonary Hypertension in the United States
Background
-
Provide statistical analysis of the clinical data, under the general guidance
of the Scientific Steering Committee.
Because the Scientific Steering Committee meets only periodically, it must
be able to delegate full responsibility for day-to-day implementation of
this work to the data coordinating center. In view of this, offerors will
be evaluated on their demonstrated ability to direct scientific research,
as well as on their ability to carry out the specific tasks requested.
Funds for this work will be provided by Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories in
the form of grant to the Harvard School of Public Health, which will handle
all administrative aspects of the contract.
Dates of Work
The anticipated date of beginning work is September 1, 1997, with submission
of clinical data to start no later than January 1, 1998. If the project
is not extended, the close of data collection will be June 30, 2001, with
any final reports and a final, intact, complete, accessible, and fully
documented data base deliverable by the August 31, 2001.
