The Department of Environmental Health focuses on complex problems that require a multi disciplinary approach. Teaching is carried out through three concentrations:

Outstanding Poster Award Winners

Congratulations to two members of our department for being chosen as Outstanding Poster Award Winners at the Gene Environment Initiative Mini-Symposium and Poster Session held on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center.

The selected winners were: Dr. Adrienne S. Ettinger: Using Evolutionary Theories of "Gestational Conflict" to Understand Maternal-Fetal Interactions at the Molecular Level

and

Dr. Elissa Wilker: Gene-environment interactions for respiratory disease candidate genes and PM2.5 predicting serum markers of inflammation and endothelial dysfunction in community exposed elderly men: the VA Normative Aging Study.
