
On May 14, 2008, at the Division of Public Health Practice Open House, Dr. Howard Koh announced that the Public Health Practice and Leadership Speaker Series has been renamed the Barry R. Bloom Public Health Practice Leadership Speaker Series. We look forward to the continuation of the exciting series. Information from the 2007-2008 year is listed below.
2007-2008: Pathways to Public Health Leadership: What Makes an Effective Leader
Join us for a new series of lectures on the important role of leadership within the realm of public health practice. National leaders in public health will examine topics regarding effective leadership, including:
- Defining good leadership,
- Methods of practice and implementation,
- The personal strengths needed to become an effective leader,
- How to inspire, influence, and create results.
All lectures will be held from 12:30 to 1:30pm, in Snyder Auditorium (Kresge G1), 677 Huntington Avenue, Boston. A light lunch is provided.
