A: There are several types of students who participate in Summer Session courses:

Current degree students: Current HSPH students will be contacted separately by email in February with details for Summer Session registration and deadlines.
Non-degree students: The Summer Session is intended for health professionals in training or those who are considering a mid-career change into public health and feel the need to strengthen their skills. Participants include public health professionals, primary care practitioners, physicians engaged in the evaluation of health care delivery and management, physicians in training, and candidates for a part-time MPH program.
Q: I have already applied for admission to an HSPH degree program. Do I need to resubmit my statement of purpose, resume/CV, transcripts, GRE scores, etc. in order to apply for Summer Session?
A: No. If you have already submitted this information to the Admissions Office, you do not need to resend it. Since you have already applied for admission to an HSPH degree program, you will not be charged the $115 Summer Session application fee. Please note that the deadline for Summer Session is February 1, 2012.
Q: I am a current HSPH degree student and I would like to take courses in Summer Session. What do I need to do?
A: Current HSPH students will be contacted separately by email in February with details for Summer Session registration and deadlines. If you have been accepted to the Master of Public Health program with a concentration in Clinical Effectiveness, you will receive a course selection form from the PCE Office. If you have not been a participant in the Summer Program in Clinical Effectiveness and you want to apply for a limited-enrollment course (indicated by an asterisk*), please include a brief statement indicating why you are interested in taking the course. Current students are exempt from the $115 Summer Session application fee.

A: All 2012-2013 HSPH degree applicants will be contacted separately in February with an email invitation to participate in the Summer Session. You may register for courses; however, space in the course is not guaranteed until all decisions are reviewed.
