Summer Session for Public Health Studies

Sample Program Schedule

Students in both the Clinical Effectiveness and Quantitative Methods concentrations must meet all of the core requirements of the MPH, including a practicum, as part of their degree program. Examples of sample schedules follow. 

Quantitative Methods (QM)

Summer 1 (12.5 credits)

Intro to Epidemiology (5 credits)*
Intro to Biostatistics (5 credits)*
Public Health Ethics (2.5 credits)*

Summer 2 and Summer 3 (30 credits)

Courses may include:
Health Policy and Management option (2.5 credit minimum)*
Advanced Methods in Clinical Epidemiology (5 credits)
Linear and Longitudinal Research (2.5 credits)
Survival Methods in Clinical Research (2.5 credits)
Environmental Health option (2.5 credit minimum)*
Principles of Clinical Trials (2.5 credits)
Social and Behavioral Sciences option (2.5 credit minimum)*
