Application Requirements
All Summer-only MPH degree applicants must complete the sophas.org application and a separate Summer Session application. The application for admission to the MPH degree program requires:
- a statement of purpose
- a curriculum vitae
- three letters of recommendation
- official transcripts
- GRE scores (other specific tests may be substituted under certain circumstances)
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required for applicants living in countries where English is not the language of instruction. Minimum scores of 560 on the paper-based test or 220 on the computer-based test are required, but competitive applicants generally submit higher scores (600 for the paper-based test or 240 for the computer-based test). The minimum score accepted for the IBT TOEFL is 83.
Please note: For non-degree students enrolled in summer courses, successful completion of courses in the summer does not guarantee admission to the School’s degree programs.
