What are the requirements for foreign transcripts?
Foreign transcripts must be official... i.e., in a sealed, signed/stamped envelope from the university or institution's registrar or records office. They must also, in addition to the original language, contain an official English translation (if needed). Transcripts sent directly from a Notary Public are not considered official. If a transcript is to be notarized, it must be notarized then sent back to the institution or university and be officially sent to HSPH from the institution or university's registrar or records office.
Applicants who will be submitting documentation from post-secondary institutions outside of the United States may choose to have their documents evaluated by an external credential evaluation agency. While we recommend that applicants use World Education Services (http://www.wes.org), we do not require it.
Please note that evaluations from World Education Services will allow our reviewers to better understand the educational system in which you studied, which may be beneficial for your application review.
