Kresge 209 is a new classroom that seats 24 students with a well-equipped instructor station.  The room has a printer and a computer station designed for wheelchairs.

Classrooms
HSPH IT Department maintains the audio-visual systems for classroom in the Kresge Building LL, 2nd and 5th floors, and the FXB Building ground floor. Each classroom is equipped with projector, computer, and DVD/CD player. 

Auditoria
HSPH IT Department maintains the audio-visual systems for auditoria in the Kresge and FXB Buildings. Locations and room sizes are as follows:

Kresge G1 is HSPH's largest auditorium complete with video conferencing, overflow, and web streaming capabilities.

Server Rooms
Three climate-controlled card-access server rooms are managed by the HSPH IT Department. Two are located in the Kresge Building LL and one in Landmark Center. These rooms are home to hundreds of servers used both centrally and departmentally.  Additionally, space is rented at Summer Street in downtown Boston for redundancy and disaster recovery.

Kiosksstudent uses kiosk in between class to check email
There are 55 kiosks located around the school providing quick access to email and the web. The kiosks are located outside classrooms for the convenience of students in the following locations:

  • Kresge G-level
  • Kresge 2nd floor
  • FXB lobby
  • FXB G-level
  • FXB student lounge

Wireless
Harvard School of Public Health has deployed wireless access points to provide wireless networking in the following areas:
  • Kresge microlab space
  • Kresge cafeteria
  • Kresge 101 and 110
  • Entire 2nd floor of Kresge
  • Kresge G1, G2 and G3
  • Kresge 502
  • FXB Classrooms
  • FXB Student lounge, 2nd Floor
  • Shattuck International House Gund Room
  • Landmark 3rd Floor Cafeteria

Video Conferencing
Video conferencing (both IP-based and ISDN-based) is available in Kresge G1, G2, G3, and 213. Kresge 502 is equipped for IP-based video conferencing.  It is also available in several departmental conference rooms. Media services had a portable system that may be reserved. Control Room
HSPH maintains a central control room that ties together G1, G2, G3, Kresge 213, Kresge 502 and the Kresge Quad. This allows for taping of events, overflow from classroom to classroom and webstreaming.
