HSPH IT prevents more than 1.5 million pieces of spam from being delivered each year. This represents roughly 46 percent of all email traffic and currently more than 100,000 pieces daily. Spam is quarantined and summarized for users daily. Users may whitelist messages that are incorrectly quarantined. Viruses are immediately deleted protecting the community from unwanted interruptions in their work.
Live daily and cumulative statistics may be found on the GroupWise email page. Email statistics are pulled from the new Email Quarantine System every hour.
Each day the main HSPH website is visited on average by more than 22,000 unique visitors that view more than 120,000 web pages. More than 5 GB of data is distributed around the world daily. Monthly and yearly cumulative statistics are provided to site webmasters.
