Smartphone / PDA Support
The HSPH IT Department now supports the use of PDAs or Smart Phones to synchronize their Novell Groupwise data using a product called Notifylink. We will install the Notifylink product for a yearly license fee only on specified Smart Phones with ACTIVE data plans and that meet the minimum operating system requirements.
The minimum supported operating systems are:
• Microsoft Windows Moblie version 6.0 (ex. Motorola Q, Blackjack, Palm Treo)
• Palm OS version 5.4.9 (ex. Treo, Centro)
• Blackberry OS version 4.2 (ex. Pearl, Curve, 8800)
The IT Department will only support the Notifylink software and the synchronization of Groupwise data on these devices. For any other support that is needed the phone carrier or device maker will have to be contacted. PDAs that use cable synchronization to a computer will not be able to use the Notifylink software.
