Mail and Receiving

The Mail and Receiving Services Offices at the School of Public Health are located in Building I, B-5.

The address for delivery to the School of Public Health loading dock is:

The hours of operation for Mail and Receiving Services are the following:

The Mail Services Office handles all incoming and outgoing United States Postal Service letters and parcels, express overnight mail, priority mail, air mail, certified mail, and registered mail.

There are two (2) mail delivery and pick-up runs per day at approximately:

  • 11:30 a.m.
  • 3:30 p.m.

The Mail Room will accept hand delivered mail until 4:00 p.m. Package deliveries continue throughout the day as incoming packages arrive.

A postage vending machine is located in the Building III vending machine area located on the first floor at the entrance to the cafeteria.

United States Mail boxes are located outside in front of 677 Huntington Avenue.

There is a Federal Express drop box located outside the revolving door at the main entrance to Building III. Pick-up from this box occurs Monday through Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m..

Receiving Services accepts all vendor deliveries, United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express, DHL, etc.. Receiving Service also handles outgoing UPS and other vendor returns. Please refer to the vendor return form for all required vendor returns.

When ordering any large piece of equipment or materials please observe the following rules:
  1. There is a (100) pound limit to any one package to be delivered by receiving personnel.
  2. Please have exact measurements of the pieces you are ordering to be sure that they will fit through doorways and onto elevators.
  3. All equipment should be delivered directly to the office/laboratory in which it will be used/installed. (The area available for off loading on the receiving dock is too small to allow storage of large crates and the interior hallways must be kept clear by order of the Boston Fire Department.) There will be a charge to the department for these services.
  4. If you are a satellite facility of the School of Public Health (i.e. 9 Bow Street, 718 Huntington Avenue, 716 Huntington Avenue, 812 Huntington Avenue, 1633-39, 1552 Tremont Street, Landmark Center.), deliveries of materials/equipment must be delivered to your site and NOT 200 Longwood Avenue.
