Instructions for planning an event or activity
-
Student events (academic and social) are overseen by the Office for Student Affairs (OSA). All students must meet with an OSA staff member, either Leah Kane, Senior Program Coordinator, or Teresa Lilly, Program Assistant, to complete a student activity request form, before beginning the event planning process.
Students interested in planning an event should consider the following:- Date- are there conflicting events? Check the HSPH calendar.
- Location- some rooms are more popular than others. Booking an activity 2-4 weeks in advance will help secure your ideal location. All events (on or off-campus) require OSA approval.
- Guests- anyone outside of the Harvard community requires a visitors pass to enter the buildings.
- Food- events and activities held at HSPH are catered by Sebastian's Cafe. All orders require a 33# billing code, provided by the OSA.

When you complete a student activity request form and the event is approved by the OSA, you may request that it be listed on the HSPH calendar. Students may also highlight their events in the "Student News" and on the HSPH student portal, MyHSPH - by using the "submit an announcement" button under student announcements section of the portal.
