THE ZUCKERMAN FELLOWS PROGRAM
The Zuckerman Fellows Program is open to United States citizens with a law, business, or medical degree who wish to pursue an additional degree at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, or the Harvard School of Public Health. Students who are working on their law, business, or medical degrees and wish to pursue this second public service degree may apply for consideration. Students who are planning to pursue both degrees simultaneously may also apply to the program.
In addition to the training Fellows will receive at the Graduate School of Education, the Kennedy School of Government, or the School of Public Health, they will participate in a co-curricular program which will allow Fellows to learn from one another’s academic and professional experience, explore leadership challenges and failures, and meet eminent practitioners of leadership in seminars and field trips.
Zuckerman Fellows will be chosen based on leadership ability, intellectual and academic accomplishment, integrity, character, and a serious commitment to public service. In all cases, Fellows will need to secure admission to the Graduate School of Education, Kennedy School of Government, or School of Public Health through the normal admissions process.
Funding, application procedures, and deadlines are currently being reviewed and will be posted as soon as we have more information.

COMMONWEALTH FUND/HARVARD UNIVERSITY FELLOWSHIP IN MINORITY HEALTH POLICY
This fellowship was established in 1995 through the support of The Commonwealth Fund and collaboration between Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public health, and the Kennedy School of Government. The program prepares physicians for leadership positions in minority health policy and public health through a one-year, full-time program of rigorous academic training, which leads to a master’s degree in public health or in public administration for physicians who already have an MPH degree. The fellowship includes courses, seminar series, leadership forums, site visits, national conferences, shadowing of public health leaders, and a practicum. It is expected that the fellowship will support the development of a cadre of leaders in minority health who are well-trained academically and professionally in public health, health policy, health management, and clinical medicine, and who are committed to pursuing careers in public service. For further information about the fellows and/or application material, you may find more information on the Bradford Fellowship website.

ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
On November 12, 2007, the Arab Republic of Egypt signed a historic agreement with Harvard University to provide generations of future leaders with the opportunity to study at Harvard in fields vital to Egypt's development. A $10 million endowment from the Arab Republic of Egypt was established to provide fellowships to students from Egypt to pursue graduate studies at the Harvard School of Public Health, Graduate School of Education, and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government; in October 2009, the agreement was expanded to include support for students at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
The fellowship program provides financing for the prestigious “Egypt Fellowships,” designed to enable highly qualified members of the Egyptian public sector to study at Harvard, as determined by academic merit and financial need. The program is intended for students who have demonstrated a commitment to public service in Egypt, and an intention to return to Egypt to make significant contributions to the advancement of Egyptian society.
Students interested in the fellowship program must first apply and be admitted to a relevant masters program at one of the four eligible Harvard graduate Schools. This requires the applicant to meet the University’s rigorous admissions standards, including the relevant graduate entrance exams and English language testing requirements.
Once admitted to an eligible Harvard University program, the student is invited to submit an application for the fellowship program. This application includes a verification letter from the student, confirming his/her commitment to public service, and intention to return to such service in Egypt upon completion of the advanced degree at Harvard.
