ESL and PCS Required
Your admission to HSPH is contingent upon completing an ESL course before arriving at the school. The ESL course must meet at least two times per week, must be no fewer than six weeks in duration and must be completed before Saturday, August 10, 2013. You are required to provide the HSPH Admissions Office with official documentation from the institution offering the ESL course by June 1, 2013, verifying your enrollment and outlining the details of the course (i.e., meeting times and duration). You are also required to submit documentation (again, from the institution offering the course) confirming your successful completion of the course by August 10, 2013. If you do not complete this requirement, you will not be allowed to register at the Harvard School of Public Health.
Before you are eligible to register as a degree candidate in the fall of 2013 you must also register for and complete the PCS course, offered by HSPH (August 18-26). The Office for Educational Programs will send to you detailed information about the PCS course, which focuses on skills important in graduate school. If you do not complete this requirement, you will not be allowed to register at the Harvard School of Public Health. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact the Admissions Office as soon as possible.
