Welcome to Harvard School of Public Health! Ahlanwasahlan!
On behalf of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) student group, we’d like to welcome you to the Harvard School of Public Health! This is a wonderful place for rigorous study and wonderful friendships. Although the Middle Eastern community on campus is relatively small, we still value the people that share our culture and language. We try to put on a number of events throughout the year to raise awareness of public health issues in the Middle East and North Africa. In addition, we participate in the organization of the Harvard Arab Weekend (harvardarabweekend.org) , a conglomerate of activities from across Harvard University which focus on the most current issues in the MENA region. The newly created Harvard Arab Students Association (HASA) is also becoming more and more active, bringing together Arabs from around Harvard together for events, meals, and fun.
We hope that you will consider joining MENA in your time here at HSPH. It’s a wonderful group and would benefit from your participation! Please feel free to email us with questions! Again, ahlanwasahlan!
We hope to see you here next year, enshallah!
