New Assistant Dean Begins Work

Stan Hudson has begun his new job as assistant dean for enrollment services and will supervise the admissions, financial aid, and registrar's offices. Hudson is a 25-year veteran of student services and comes to HSPH from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he worked as senior associate dean in the Office of the Dean of Students and Undergraduate Education.

While at MIT, Hudson led a three-year project that brought student services, bursary, and financial aid under one roof. He initiated a program that allowed students access to their financial accounts, applications, and registration information online. He hopes to investigate the possibilities for a similar program at HSPH and wants to increase the financial aid resources available to students and faculty to include more grants and scholarships.

Hudson's office is in Kresge G-4, and he encourages people to contact him through e-mail at shudson@hsph.harvard.edu. His phone number is 432-4703.
