In Memoriam: Arthur Mu-En Lee

It is with deep regret that we report that Arthur Mu-En Lee, associate professor of microbiology, passed away April 10 after surgery at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Lee was a talented laboratory scientist who made many significant contributions to the field of vascular biology. He was recruited to the Center for Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases by Edgar Haber in 1990 and rose to a position of leadership in the laboratory.

"Arthur's tragic and unexpected death is a great loss to me, his many friends, colleagues and students here in the Center for the Prevention of Cardiovascular Disease, around the school, at the Brigham, and at MGH," said colleague Guy Reed. "He was a leading scientist in cardiovascular biology, and the scientific world will miss his extraordinary intelligence and productivity."

Lee's family is making plans for a memorial service. The Office for Academic Affairs will provide information about the service as soon as it is available.
