SCC Spring Elections

The election for the 1999-2000 Student Coordinating Committee (SCC) president and treasurer will be held the week of May 3. (All other SCC positions will be elected next fall.) An informational meeting for students interested in running for office will be held Wednesday, April 21, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in FXB G-3. Candidate forms will be available beginning Monday, April 19, on both SCC bulletin boards and in the Office for Students (Kresge G-10). Candidate forms should be returned to Box #196 by Thursday, April 28.

The SCC works with faculty and administration on school-wide issues, organizes student representation on school committees, sponsors seminars and other education-related events, and plans social activities. The president is responsible for the overall administration of the organization; the treasurer is responsible for the finances of the organization. Both officers serve on the SCC summer committee. Students interested in these offices should be available during August to prepare for fall activities.
