April Is Alcohol Awareness Month

Nearly 14 million Americans are alcoholics or problem drinkers; four times as many have been exposed to alcoholism in their families. Each year, alcohol kills 100,000 Americans, making it the nation's third leading cause of preventable death. Alcoholism and alcohol-related problems can be prevented and treated.

At Harvard the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program is available to help with free, confidential advice regarding possible alcohol problems of individuals, their friends, family, and coworkers. For information or help, call 495-HELP (4357).
