New Fellowship for Center for Population and Development Studies

Nathan Keyfitz, a former director of the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies and Andelot professor of demography emeritus, has provided $250,000 to endow a fellowship to be named the Keyfitz Family Fellowship for study at the center. In addition to his work at the center, Keyfitz served as the Andelot professor of sociology at FAS and will endow a similar fellowship in the Department of Sociology at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Keyfitz retired in 1983.
