Exams and Defenses

Megan Murray will take her oral qualifying exam for a doctoral degree in the Department of Epidemiology on February 23 at 10:00 a.m. in Kresge 904. Major: epidemiology; minor fields: biostatistics and biology of tuberculosis. Willy Piessens will chair the examination committee.

Jarvis Chen will take his oral qualifying exam for a doctoral degree in the Department of Health and Social Behavior on February 24 at 11:00 a.m. in Kresge 507. Major: health and social behavior; minor fields: epidemiology and biostatistics, immunology and infectious diseases. Alexander Walker will chair the examination committee.

Friederike zu Sayn Wittgenstein, doctoral student in the Department of Population and International Health, will present her thesis, "Social Dynamics of Low Fertility in Germany: An East-West Comparison," on February 24 at 2:00 p.m. in FXB G-12.

Eileen Abt, doctoral student in the Department of Environmental Health, will present her thesis, "Identification of Sources of Indoor Particles," on February 26 at 3:00 p.m. in FXB G-12.
