Travel Fellowship Available

Each year, the Uwe Brinkmann Memorial Travel Fellowship is awarded to an HSPH doctoral student conducting field research in international health epidemiology. Given in memory of Uwe Brinkmann, a renowned investigator of tropical diseases who held appointments in three HSPH departments, the fellowship is awarded to a student whose work exemplifies the interests and values of Brinkmann by seeking to combine international health epidemiology and infectious diseases. The fellowship provides an award of $2,500 to support travel to a field research site.

Applicants for the fellowship must submit a letter that explains the proposed research project, a description of how the travel funds would be used, and a discussion of how the research would increase knowledge in the fields of international health, epidemiology, and infectious diseases. The applications should be delivered to Barbara Heil, Department of Population and International Health, SPH I-1104, by March 15.
