Winter Storms and School Closings

Winter is here, along with cold days and the unavoidable seasonal storms that range from annoying to dangerous. In general, the school's teaching and research activities continue regardless of weather. However, in rare cases of extreme weather, the school will close.

This winter, cancellations due to stormy weather will be reported on television channels 4, 5, and 7, and on radio stations WRKO 680AM and WBZ 1030AM. HSPH also has a telephone hotline that provides recorded notices of timely news, including official closings of the school. The hotline can be reached at 432-NEWS (432-6397).

The HSPH policy on inclement weather can be found online at www.hsph.harvard.edu/Admins/weather.html.
