Exams and Defenses

Gillian Barclay, doctoral student in the Departments of Health and Social Behavior and Epidemiology, will present her thesis, "Factors Influencing Preventive Care Counseling by Physicians in Urban Clinical Settings," on January 11 at 9:00 a.m. in Kresge 315.

Elissa Weitzman, doctoral student in the Department of Health and Social Behavior, will present her thesis, "Risk and Resistance: Family Vulnerabilities and Community Strengths in a National Survey of College Alcohol Use," on January 12 at 10:30 a.m. in FXB G-13.

Jae Hee Kang will take her oral examination for a doctoral degree in the Department of Epidemiology on January 15 at 10:30 a.m. in Kresge 904. Major field: epidemiology; minor fields: biostatistics and nutrition. Walter Willett will chair the examination committee.
