Grants for Courses and Research on Children

The Harvard Children's Initiative invites proposals from Harvard faculty and students who wish to pursue new interdisciplinary collaborations focusing on children.

The initiative will provide seed money to working groups of faculty and students in an effort to promote new research, teaching, and community activities relating to children's development. The grants are not intended to support existing research or activities.

Eligible working groups must include at least two Harvard faculty members from two different schools or disciplines. Groups may also include students and community members.

Funds ranging from $500 to $5,000 will be granted to accepted proposals for work beginning in the summer or fall of 1999 and which will be completed by June 2000.

The deadline for application to the fund is April 15. For more information, contact the Harvard Children's Initiative New Collaborations Fund at 496-4938, or visit their website at www.gse.harvard.edu/~hci.
