Promotions and Appointments
Marianne
Wessling-Resnick has been promoted from associate professor of nutrition
to professor of nutritional biochemistry. Wessling-Resnick studies the
mechanisms by which cells absorb the necessary, but potentially toxic,
element iron.
Bruce Kennedy has been appointed assistant professor of health and social behavior. Kennedy had served as interim director of the Violence Prevention Programs at HSPH, where he taught about adolescent health and the social determinants of health.
Laura Kubzansky has been appointed
assistant professor of health and social behavior. Kubzansky's work focuses
on psychological and social factors in health with a particular focus
on the role of stress and emotion in cardiovascular disease and health.
