Daughters Gain Insight into Work World on Special Day

Nearly two dozen daughters of HSPH faculty and staff visited the school on April 27 for Take Our Daughters to Work Day, sponsored by the Office of Human Resources.

The girls shadowed their sponsors in the morning and then toured the lab of Laurie Glimcher of the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases. Ann Backus, instructor in occupational health in the Department of Environmental Health, and Terri Mendoza, director of health information in the Center for Health Communication, spoke to the group.

"I had fun," said Desirae Smith, 7, who added her favorite part was the visit to the lab.
