Exams and Defenses

Karen Pawlish will take her oral qualifying examination for a doctoral degree in the Department of Epidemiology on May 11 at 1:00 p.m. in Kresge 904. Major: epidemiology; minors: biostatistics and cancer epidemiology and biology. Nancy Mueller will chair the examination committee.

Steve Horvath, doctoral candidate in the Department of Biostatistics, will present his thesis, "Dealing with Missing Data in Family-Based Allelic Association Studies,"on May 11 at 1:30 p.m. in SPH II-426.

Maritza Rubio-Stipec, doctoral candidate in the Department of Epidemiology, will present her thesis, "Diagnostic Assessment of Children in Psychiatric Epidemiology," on May 12 at 10:00 a.m. in Kresge 904.

Jeremy Sarnat will take his oral qualifying examination for a doctoral degree in the Department of Environmental Health on May 12 at 11:00 a.m. in SPH I-1301. Major: exposure assessment; minors: quantitative modeling and risk and decision analysis. Petros Koutrakis will chair the examination committee.

Scott Wolff, doctoral candidate in the Department of Environmental Health, will present his thesis, "Evaluation of Fine Particle Exposures, Health Risks, and Control Options," on May 12 at 3:30 p.m. in FXB G-13.
