Richmond Lecture and Dinner

The third annual Julius B. Richmond Award Lecture and Dinner was held on November 22. The award was given posthumously to Julius Nyerere, president of Tanzania from 1964 to 1985, who was known as a peacemaker and reformer. The award recognizes advocates of social change.

Pictured below, with the award, are (from left) Sargent Shriver, Tanzanian Ambassador Mustafa Nyang'anyi, Julius Richmond, South African Ambassador Sheila Violet Makate Sisulu, Associate Dean Deborah Prothrow-Stith, and Dean Barry Bloom.
