Ergonomic Safety Information Available Online and In-Classroom

The Harvard University Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) is offering guidance to the Harvard community on the subject of ergonomic practices at computer workstations through an on-line training and evaluation program. The program is only accessible from a Harvard University computer and requires a university ID number.

The program presents the fundamentals of ergonomic computer workstations before involving the viewer in an interactive evaluation of the viewer's own workstation. The program is found at the EH&S website at www.uos.harvard.edu/ehs/.

EH&S staff also offer frequent classroom-based training programs relative to computer workstation ergonomics and injury/illness prevention. A schedule of upcoming classes can be found on their website or can be obtained by phoning 495-2060.
