Relocated Student Lounge Now Open

A newly refurbished and relocated student lounge has opened on the second floor of the FXB Building directly over the lobby entrance. The lounge offers tables, couches, chairs and lots of natural sunlight. More furniture, including a magazine rack, is expected soon. The former student lounge on the ground level of the Kresge Building has been converted into an office.

The lounge resulted from a Student Coordinating Committee (SCC) initiative undertaken last year by Robin Blum, former SCC president and current project coordinator in the Department of Nutrition, Smitha Arekapudi, Aaron Woolsey, and Joseph Abraham. The students worked with Robin Worth, assistant dean for students; Paul Riccardi, dean for operations and administration; and Mary Jane Curran, director of administration and operations.

All students are invited to enjoy the lounge. Send feedback to scc@hsph.harvard.edu. To access the lounge, use the elevators or the stairwell directly next to them in the FXB Building.
