Malaria Walk Raises Money for Bednets

Despite heavy rain, more than 40 runners turned out for the "Stomp Out Malaria" walk along the Charles River on September 15. The walk was sponsored by the Harvard Malaria Initiative and raised more than $1,000 for bednets for families in Africa. The bednets protect people from the bites of mosquitoes, which transmit malaria.
