New Environmental Health Professorship Established

Catherine Winkler Herman has provided $1.5 million to endow the Mark and Catherine Winkler Assistant/Associate Professorship of Environmental Health II. This is the second professorship funded by Winkler through the Mark and Catherine Winkler Foundation. The first was established in 1995 and is currently held by Beatriz Gonzalez-Flecha, who is researching the biochemistry of oxygen free radicals and their role in aging and human diseases.
