New Directors in Enrollment Services Settle In

Two new directors have joined the staff in Enrollment Services.

Vincent James is the new director of admissions. James graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1978 with a degree in chemical engineering. Prior to his new position, James worked as associate director of admissions at MIT. A chance encounter with Stan Hudson, assistant dean for enrollment services at HSPH, at a Tanglewood Festival Chorus concert in the Berkshires this summer led him to apply for the directorship at the HSPH.

Kathryn Austin has been appointed as HSPH's first director of student financial services. She will provide students with information about fees, billing, awards processing, and financial aid opportunities. Austin comes from Brandeis University, where she was associate director of financial aid since 1992. Austin said her goals are to automate more services and find more funding sources for students.
