RESEARCH: Acute Infection

Tshedimoso
BHP012, BHP009

Principal Investigator: Vladimir Novitsky
Funding:
NIH

Objectives:

  • To identify virologic and immunologic markers in primary HIV-1C infection that are associated with viral set point (VSP).
  • To identify individuals as early as possible in HIV-1C infection and characterize viral and immune parameters in primary HIV-1C infection in Botswana.

Enrollment: March 2004– April 2008

Follow Up: Complete April 2010
