Buying a bike
These are some of our favorite local stores:
| QuadBikes | Harvard-run bike shop in Cambridge. Good for used bikes and repairs. |
| Bikes Not Bombs | Great place in Jamaica Plain that sells used bikes. Each year Bikes Not Bombs collects roughly 6,000 used bicycles and used parts from their supporters around Greater Boston and New England. We use these bikes in local Youth Programs, International Development Programs, and sell them at our Bike Shop. We have weekly volunteer nights, vocational training programs, and membership based perks such as discounts at local shops and open-shop nights at our Hub. |
| Cambridge Antique Market | Full-service bike shop in the basement. Great for reconditioned antique bikes. |
| Ferris Wheels | Bike shop in Jamaica Plain – great for repairs and new/used bikes. |
| Revolution Bicycle Repair | Bike shop in Jamaica Plain – great for repairs and accessories |
Other shops around the Greater Boston area can be found here: http://www.cityofboston.gov/bikes/resources.asp.
