The Department of Biostatistics is located in the Harvard School of Public Health's main building complex. See this map of the Longwood Medical Area.The main entrance to this complex is 655 Huntington Avenue, Boston. To reach the Department of Biostatistics proceed to the staircase directly beyond the entrance lobby, through the glass doors. Walk up to the top of the stairs (three flights - 4th floor) and turn left. The departmental reception desk is directly behind the glass doors. The Harvard School of Public Health's main building complex is located in the heart of Boston's hospital district and Harvard University's Longwood campus. The facilities adjoin those of Harvard's Medical School, School of Dental Medicine, and Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine, and are near Children's Hospital Medical Center, Beth Israel/Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women's Hospital, and other Harvard-affiliated hospitals. The school is located within walking distance of the newly designated "Avenue of the Arts" which includes many cultural institutions, such as Boston's Museum of Fine Arts. Public transportation is readily available to other parts of Boston and Cambridge, where students may cross-register for courses at other Harvard schools and at MIT.
