Research Interest:

Gerta is interested in understanding how oncogenic activation of signaling pathways, which results in abnormal cell proliferation and cancer, alters the metabolic reprogramming of cells. She is focused on identifying critical metabolic enzymes that could potentially be exploited for cancer therapy.
