A transformational gift

Powerful Ideas for a Healthier World

In the 20th century, advances in knowledge about how best to protect the public’s health helped double life expectancy. In today’s interconnected world, our progress is under attack by four major threats that cause disease and death around the globe. We can reverse these threats by discovering new solutions to complex problems and acting upon our knowledge—changing policies, practices and personal behavior—to create a healthier world for all of us. Harvard School of Public Health conducts research, educates public health leaders, and promotes solutions to advance the health of everyone.
