Department of Health Policy and Management Student Profile
Molly Warren
SM student, Department of Health Policy and Management
With a budding interest in public policy, Molly set off for Washington, DC, after graduating from college with a dual degree in history and art. Following an internship in the Senate, she spent several years working in gun violence prevention advocacy and began to see policy issues through the lens of public health. Molly decided that HSPH was the best fit because of its emphasis on policy and because the ability to cross-register for courses at the Harvard Kennedy School during her second year allows her to pursue her dual interests in public policy and public health.
At HSPH, Molly enjoys the cohesive, supportive atmosphere of her cohort of students. She is currently working on research on suicides among minorities and is looking forward to being a teaching assistant next year. During the summer, she will be working in Vermont as the state creates its health insurance exchange as part of the Affordable Care Act.
