Overview
This intensive one-day workshop will provide the skills needed to develop a "One Plan" integrated contingency plan using Basic On-Line Disaster and Emergency Response (BOLDER) planning software offered by the National Response Team.
Expert instruction will guide participants through a step-by-step approach to developing one functional, integrated emergency plan to save organizational time and money.
Who Should Attend
- Environmental Health and Safety Personnel responsible for developing or reviewing emergency response plans for their facilities to meet EPA, DOL/OSHA, DHS, DOI, and DOT rules
- First responders who need to understand the intricacies of the “One Plan”
- Regulatory officials who need basic information about the plan and the entity it covers
In This Program, You Will Learn How To:
- Minimize duplication of emergency response plans at the same facility
- Improve economic efficiency for both the regulated and regulating communities
- Develop a single emergency response plan per facility, eliminating confusion, which is critical for facility first responders
- Improve coordination between facility response personnel and local, state and federal emergency personnel
Upon Completion of this Course, You Should Be Able To:
- Draft and utilize the “One Plan”/Integrated Contingency Plan (ICP) to consolidate multiple plans into one functional emergency response plan or integrated emergency plan
Why You Should Attend
The National Response Team’s (NRT’s) “One Plan” is a highly functional document for use in varied emergency situations, and it provides a mechanism for complying with multiple emergency planning requirements under nine different regulatory agencies.
This workshop is designed for facilities that need to develop or review their existing emergency response plans to meet EPA, DOL/OSHA, DHS, DOI and DOT rules.
The hands-on experience this program provides would be time well spent under any circumstance, but in the current era of uncertainty, effective planning is more critical than ever before.
Special Benefits
- All participants will receive the Basic On-Line Disaster Emergency Response (BOLDER) “One Plan” software
- Limited class size to guarantee individual attention from expert instructors
What Attendees Should Bring to Class from their Organizations:
- List of chemicals or MSDSs
- Piping & Instrumentation diagrams
- Specifications for safety systems (alarms, sprinklers, etc.)
