The Inaugural Harvard America-China Health Summit on Sept 21-22, 2011

Organized by Harvard School of Public Health China Initiative, the inaugural Harvard America-China Health Summit (HACHS) was conducted at the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center of Harvard University in Boston on September 21-22, 2011. More than 700 registered participants attended the event. High-level dialogues on a wide range of public health and healthcare reform topics were conducted among leading health policy makers, experts and senior executives from the China, U.S. and beyond.

As part of the official agreement under the auspices of the US-China Strategic and Economic Dialogue, the Chinese Ministry of Health and US Department of Health and Human Services have committed to supporting this Summit. Dr. CHEN Zhu, Chinese Health Minister and Ms. Sherry Glied, Assistant Secretary of U.S. DHHS presented keynote speeches at the opening session. The discussions of the summit featured 8 sessions with over 30 speakers from China, U.S. and international organizations.
