The Second China-U.S. Health Summit on October 31, 2012 in Beijing
Organized by Harvard School of Public Health China Initiative and Co-hosted by Peking Union Medical College and Tsinghua School of Public Policy and Management, the Second China-U.S. Health Summit was successfully held on October 31, 2012 at the National Convention Center in Beijing. Themed “Healthcare Reforms: Balancing Roles of Government, Market and Professionalism”, the 2012 Summit brought together about 1000 health sector movers and shakers from China, the U.S. and other countries to share and discuss important perspectives and experiences.
Keynote speakers included Dr. Sun Zhigang, China’s National Coordinator of Health System Reform, Mr. Ding Xiangyang, Vice Mayor of Beijing, Dr. Lincoln Chen, President of China Medical Board, and via video Dr. Julio Frenk, Dean of Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Carolyn Clancy, Director of the HHS Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
