The 2010 China Senior Health Executive Education Program was conducted on June 21 – July 9, 2010 at Harvard School of Public Health in Boston. Forty five senior health officials and health executives from China attended the program who are from different national and provincial government departments, medical universities and general hospitals. The government departments include the State Council Reseach Office, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, State Food and Drug Administration, and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Hospital executives came from around China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hunan and Henan.
At the critical time of health care reform in China, the participants were keen to learn international experience on development and reform in health care sector. They also discussed and analyzed key issues in China’s health care, such as public hospital reform, allocation of health resources, health financing and comparison between China and United States.
