The Gareth M. Green Award for Excellence in Public Health is given to a student or student team for a practice project conducted while enrolled at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. The project must contribute to the improvement of the health of a defined population and make a significant contribution to the work of the organization, agency, or community in which it is being conducted. The award is sponsored by the Office for Education and is given in memory of Gareth M. Green, M.D. Dr. Green served as Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health’s Associate Dean for Professional Education from 1990 – 1998 and as the first chair of the Advisory Council of the Division of Public Health Practice.
Who is eligible to receive the Gareth M. Green Award?
Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health students graduating in the 2014-2015 academic year.
Who may submit a nomination?
Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health faculty, staff, and students. Students may nominate themselves.
When is the deadline for nominations?
