Dear Members of the Harvard School of Public Health Faculty:
I am delighted to join with Jeffrey Flier, dean of Harvard Medical School, in announcing the appointment of James Ware as associate dean for Clinical and Translational Science at HSPH, and Elliott Antman and Anne Klibanski as associate deans for Clinical and Translational Research at HMS. In their new roles, Drs. Ware, Antman and Klibanski will work directly with Lee Nadler, HMS dean for Clinical and Translational Research.
Harvard is ideally positioned to take a national leadership role in expanding the vision, scope and impact of clinical and translational research to improve human health. This will require coordination of the extensive resources currently available at Harvard University, as well as creative and strategic planning designed to develop new tools, institutional and industry relationships, funding sources, and educational platforms. These appointments will significantly increase our ability to make progress on our ambitious goals.
Please join us in congratulating Drs. Ware, Antman and Klibanski in these important new roles. Through their vision and leadership, we will continue to make excellent progress in our translational research efforts.
Sincerely,
Julio Frenk
