Department of Biostatistics/Schering-Plough Workshop will be held on May 29 and 30, 2008, at the Harvard School of Public Health. It will focus on
Benefits and Risks: Optimizing Decisions by Information Synthesis and will bring together experts from academia, regulatory agencies, and the pharmaceutical industry to discuss and exchange ideas on how to synthesize information from multiple sources to create a combined ‘weight of evidence' for a drug's efficacy and safety, as well as its associated risks and benefits.
