The Department of Environmental Health focuses on complex problems that require a multi-disciplinary approach. Teaching is carried out through three concentrations:

MISSION STATEMENT:

The Department of Environmental Health (EH) believes that the essence of public health is the primary prevention of disease.  EH's mission is to contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the health of all people through global leadership in research and training in environmental health.

Harvard WinterSession:

HSPH Students Study Abroad!
WinterSession is a special term at the Harvard School of Public Health which ran from January 3 through January 20 this year.  WinterSession courses are available both in Boston and abroad, and offer opportunities for creativity and innovation in learning and teaching.

EH Students in Taiwan:
In collaboration with Kaohsiung Medical University's Graduate Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, these EH330 students studied several major heavy industries in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, their industrial processes and their known health and safety risks.
