Uchenna B. Okoye
Office of Diversity
Program: MD/MPH, HPM
Career aspirations: I will be entering into Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. My true goal is to bring an interdisciplinary approach to the field of health policy, to help create and implement policies that lower access barriers for minority and vulnerable populations.
Reasons for becoming an SA: I specifically wanted to work in the Office of Diversity because I know that a university can make a magnificent impact on its members and surrounding community when it is truly committed to diversity. I want to be part of these efforts.
Current SA projects: To provide a safe space for discussion and skill building, such as an International Student Monthly dinner, and “Food for Thought,” a working group that will meet monthly around issues of diversity and social justice.
