USHLI is a Chicago-based national, nonprofit, nonpartisan, tax-exempt organization, and a member of the Board of Directors of HACR, the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility, and NHLA, the National Hispanic Leadership Agenda.
Every year USHLI hosts a 3 day conference in Chicago to promote education, unity, and leadership to selected high school and college students across the nation. The conference inspires young leaders to celebrate the Latino heritage and further empower local communities.
Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Student Ambassadors participated in the USHLI Conference this year. Through various career fairs and leadership workshops, our representatives helped increase awareness and interests in the public health profession among high school and undergraduate students. Interacting with bright young leaders who share the same passions of service and leadership, the conference was a great learning and community building experience for the Student Ambassadors as well.
